Iain Robinson and an Evan Menzies double had ‘More 3-0 ahead before Andrew Maccuish countered twice for the Oban side.

Skye are all but relegated, following their 3-2 defeat against Lovat at Balgate.

Kinlochshi­el and Kingussie shared the points following a 0-0 draw at Kirkton. Kingussie did enough in the second half to deserve the win, but couldn’t find a way past keeper Scott Kennedy. Inveraray gave themselves a great chance of securing promotion from the Marine Harvest National Division after beating champions Kilmallie 7-1 at the Winterton. Fraser Watt and Lewis Macnicol both scored twice with Neil Campbell, Garry Macpherson and Ruaraidh Graham getting the others.

Fort William are also in contention after Arran Macphee scored twice in a 3-0 win at Glasgow Mid Argyll. Lewis Morrison got the other. West Lothian’s Paul Di Resta is back in pole position to win his second DTM Championsh­ip after finishing fourth in round 17 in Spielberg, Austria, yesterday.

The 2010 champion collected 12 points following his best-ever result in Austria, and he now leads his Mercedes team-mate Gary Paffett by 10 points after the Englishman failed to score in 11th place.

There are three more races this season, starting with round 18 at the same track this afternoon. Di Resta had struggled in practice but qualified fourth-quickest in the rain and defended that position during the 37-lap race. German Rene Rast led an Audi 1-2-3 as less than two seconds covered the first six cars.
