Star reveals weight fears
Take That star Gary Barlow has revealed details about his battle with bulimia. The 47-year-old pop star detailed his problems with the eating disorder in forthcoming autobiography A Better Me.
He writes about how he piled on weight after the band split in the 1990s.
He said he forced himself to be sick to get slim, hiding it from his wife Dawn. Writing about what he thought at the time, he says: “It isn’t a daily thing, but it’s happening more frequently.
“It’s starting to scare me because I am relying on it.
“My logic goes: ‘I’m on this diet and we’re going out on Thursday, but it’s all right, I can chuck it up afterwards.’”
The book also deals with the grief he suffered following his daughter Poppy being stillborn in 2012.
