A 71-year-old academic has become a world champion weight lifter.

Catherine Walter, a linguistics professor from Oxford University, only took up the sport when she was 65.

She hopes to shatter the myth that old people can’t be strong.

Certainly gives new meaning to the term OAP – Old Age Powerlifter!
