For a perfect shoe shine

A fashion designer has launched a new pair of £800 shoes featuring kitchen sponges.

Made from black patent leather, the stilettos are decorated with strips of yellow and blue sponge. The sponge is placed along where the toes would be, around the back of the heel and on the strap. The shoes are proving hugely popular.

If you can give them a squirt of washing-up liquid and clean the floors as you walk around the house then maybe they are worth £800 after all.
