Do you know of a good technique to swallow pills? I take them daily but I struggle.

It certainly can be a trial for people to swallow pills, especially if they have a lot to take, and I think doctors can underestimate this. I am afraid it can take a bit of trial and error to discover the best way for you to swallow your pills. Make sure that your keep your mouth nice and moist beforehand with a drink. If you are having particular problems, you might want to discuss with your doctor if there ways to make things easier. I’m interested in trying the NHS Couch-to-5k programme. Is it suitable for someone in their mid-70s? I’m not very fit.

The is a great way of starting to run. Assuming that you have no other problems with your health then I suggest starting gradually. Some people repeat each session a few times before moving to the next run in the programme. This allows you to adapt more gradually to the increased exercise. There are many exercise programmes available to people in your age group. It is well worth exploring. I’m travelling to the Middle East later this year. Will the NHS do my vaccinations? The NHS provides vaccinations for living in the UK, but not for holidays. However most practices will give you advice on what is required and discuss with you the fees for administering these on a private basis.

When I lie down I feel pressure in my sinuses. What could this be?

Perhaps a sinus infection. This can also be felt on leaning forwards. It is worth discussing with your pharmacist or GP.
