Flagship store shuts
The House of Fraser department store in Edinburgh closed its doors yesterday after more than six decades in operation.
The outlet, at the west end of Princes Street, was initially due to close in September.
It has been at the site since 1953, when House of Fraser acquired Binn’s department store.
Millionaire businessman Mike Ashley paid
£90 million for 58 of the chain’s stores in August after the brand collapsed into administration.
