Crews rush to city blaze

Firefighters battled a blaze at an Italian restaurant in Aberdeen’s Union Street yesterday.

Officers were called to Amarone about 10.30am and worked until the late afternoon to fully extinguish the blaze.

“Crews were met with a well-developed fire that was hard to deal with,” said a Fire Service spokesperson.
