Weekend fiasco was textbook

The Sunday Post (Inverness) - - OPINION - Macleod

Thought I should share the texts that my oh so hilarious wife Pauline sent to our children and friends last Sunday night.

Text 1: So Donald and I were meant to go to the cinema on Saturday night. I found the booking confirmation and realised he had booked it for Friday instead. He had to then cancel the posh restaurant he had also booked. All the tickets had now sold out. So in a mad frenzy we rushed into Edinburgh for a matinee performance… ordered a pizza later!

Text 2: Arrived today at hotel in Perth. Going to our friend Dougie Maclean’s concert. They had no record of our booking. Turned out Donald had “mistakenly” booked it for last night. Thankfully, they had a room available, but he had to pay again.

Text 3: Went out for dinner before show, asked my husband to check show times. He does ... IT WAS LAST NIGHT!

Text 4: Now in taxi heading to Dunkeld with a very embarrassed Donald sorry, Baldrick, to try to find Dougie so he can apologise for our no-show.
