An “urban mermaid” stopped mid-swim to help save a stranded cow.

Lindsey Cole, 35, was swimming from Lechdale, Gloucestershire, to Teddington in South London when she found the bovine creature struggling to stay afloat.

Emergency services then pulled the animal to safety. What a caring moo-ve.
