Chris Martin lent his talents to the third single from Furtado’s Loose album after running into the Canadian-portuguese singer at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards in Miami.

The Coldplay frontman asked to visit the studio as he wanted to meet executive producer Timbaland, who in turn was a huge fan of the British band’s X&Y record.

Martin popped round the following night and ended up contributing harmonies. Peaking at No 4 in the UK charts, the ballad went on to reach No 1 in 20 countries.
