I used to get into bother sitting on a heater, or a cold ground – it was said it was a surefire way to get piles. Is this true?

Piles are essentially a type of varicose vein around the back passage. They can sometimes cause bleeding, pain or itchiness. They can occur for no particular reason but are more likely to occur during or after pregnancy and are also common in people who are prone to constipation and strain alot.itisnottruethat sitting on a heater or on cold ground can cause piles. There are various creams that can be bought from supermarkets or chemist for piles. However, if symptoms persist, it is worth speaking to your GP. My lips are continually dry and cracking, despite using lip balm. Could it be a sign of something else?

Dry and cracking lips can be an irritating problem. Essentially, lips are exposed to the elements and can lose a lot of moisture. In some people, this causes the lips to dry and crack. You are doing absolutely the right thing by using lip balm. It may well be that you need to try different varieties of lip balms until you find the one that suits you best. Keeping well hydrated may also help.

I had a frozen shoulder a year ago after falling at football. But now I have a permanent knotted feeling in my shoulder. Is this normal?

It may be worth getting this checked out byyourgpor physiotherapist. There are many things that can go wrong with a shoulder and, if symptoms are still persisting after a year, then I would have this looked at.
