Celebrities’ brains strain in most offal jungle trial ever Noel goes nuts when he faces stomach-churning test

Edmonds was forced to use his imagination when facing up to one of the jungle’s grisliest challenges.

The Deal Or No Deal presenter was given the stomach-churning task of eating a sheep’s brain in last night’s edition of I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here.

Edmonds pretended the gruesome dish was a walnut when it was placed in front of him during the Bushtucker trial.

Noel and jungle camp-mate, football manager Harry Redknapp, faced the task together.

The show’s hosts Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby looked on as the broadcaster explained his technique.

He said: “You visualise something other than what you’re looking at, so I’m seeing a very large walnut that will be chewy.”

When told he had to eat the whole brain, he then asked the hosts if there were any condiments to go with it.

Redknapp added: “I’ve got to do it. I’ve got the grandkids at home watching, can’t let them down.” When Willoughby, who has replaced Ant Mcpartlin as Dec’s jungle sidekick, tells him that “it’s a delicacy in many places”, Redknapp is unimpressed and says “not in Stepney it ain’t”.

In other scenes, Noel showed Harry his painted toenails, a gift from his wife before he went into the jungle. He explained she had painted one red and told him that’s his emergency toe. If he’s in a really tight spot he should press it. Noel said: “But she hasn’t told me what happens then!”

The former Noel’s House Party host has been rubbing the veteran footballer’s leg to help ease his aches and pains.

I’m A Celebrity continues tonight on ITV at 9pm.
