Are loved ones still in touch?

-

Dear June

I’m curious to find out if those who have passed are trying to make themselves known? A number of strange occurrences that I have found quite unsettling have brought me to this conclusion. Any advice would be welcomed.

Those we have loved and lost, from family members to close friends, will remain so after physical death. The bond created through love can never be broken.

Those loved ones passed over from this world to the next will try in varying ways to let those they had to leave behind know they are still around.

Many people have had unexplainable experiences after loss. In my experience, those loved ones trying to make contact will usually make themselves known on special days such as birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas, when they are sorely missed. An unusual occurrence can sometimes be viewed as unsettling if there is no logical explanation for it.

The most common time for people to have an experience is at night. This is because it is quiet and people are in their most relaxed state. If you passed over from the physical side of life and watched from spirit as your family grieved, would you not make the effort to make yourself known to let them know you were safe?

I know I would.

Dear June

Alan, Perth.

Our family has said goodbye to a loving dad, grandad and husband. We took turns to be with him in hospital so he wasn’t alone. I was there the night he passed. He had been drifting in and out of consciousness over the last few days but was kept comfortable. Around 11pm he opened his eyes, looked past me and smiled at someone I could not see. He passed peacefully less than an hour later.

Frances, Glenrothes.

It is comforting for those who have sat with a loved one in their last moments to witness them give a smile of recognition as they become aware of those they love from spirit side who have been waiting for them. Knowing they would soon be fully reunited with those they had previously thought lost is a blessing for those present. When your time inevitably comes, you will remember this experience and will be able to take comfort from it as you know your loved ones will all be there waiting for you.
