Berwick’s best chance fell to Daryl Healy, but he was unable to get any power when stretching for a volley. The second half was more even and Berwick pulled a goal back after 56 minutes. Chris Hamilton played a long cross in from the right and Healy rose well to head in at the near post.

Paul Willis and Jack Ogilvie also both shot wide in the closing stages as Berwick tried to force a late equaliser, but it was to no avail.

The visitors took the lead on 13 minutes when Daniel Armstrong’s trickery took him clear on the right, and his low cross was perfect for Kevin Nesbit to turn home from a couple of yards out.

On 24 minutes, Raith moved two ahead when Liam Buchanan fed Armstrong on the right and then darted into the box to flick the winger’s cross past goalkeeper Jordan Hart.

Before the break, Nesbit headed against the inside of the post, but a third goal for Rovers arrived on 57 minutes when Nathan Flannagan wriggled free on the right and fired into the far corner.

In the second half, Stirling almost pulled one back when Tony Mcguire’s shot went inches past, but it was all over in the 58th minute when Kerr Hay hit a 20-yarder into the net for City’s third.

Ten minutes from time, Elgin went 4-0 up when Owen Loveland headed in a Jordan Lowdon cross.
