Iran rapped over rockets
America has issued warnings over Iran test-firing ballistic missiles capable of carrying multiple warheads.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo last night called on leaders to “cease these activities” and issued a statement saying he “condemns these acts”. America has accused Iran of breaking UN peace codes issued to prevent the proliferation of weapons.
The latest missile launch comes after the Pentagon displayed pieces of what they described as Iranian weapons deployed to militants in Yemen and Afghanistan. If Iran were found to be shipping the arms, it would be in violation of UN resolutions. US President Donald Trump tore up the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and six global powers to the dismay of the UK and others earlier this year.
