Mum of five pregnant again at odds of 200-1

A mum of five is pregnant with her sixth child despite being sterilised more than a year ago.

Danielle Sood, 30, discovered that she was expecting again two weeks ago.

And it isn’t the first time she has defied the odds.

The mum, from Crosshouse in Kilmarnock, reportedly conceived four of her five children while on the contraceptive pill. When she underwent the sterilisation procedure in July last year, she was convinced she would never conceive again.

Danielle, who is now four months pregnant, was told the chances of giving birth after the procedure were as small as one in 200.

Female sterilisation is an operation to prevent pregnancy by sealing or blocking the fallopian tubes.
