Festive drop in flight cost

-

Airlines are cutting the cost of flights out of Scotland this Christmas because the weak pound has increased demand for foreign breaks. Budget company Ryanair is offering discounted flights this week with some weekend fares costing less than £4.

Travellers will be able to take advantage of some deals – even during the school holidays – for flights to winter sunshine destinations such as the Canary Islands.

Prices usially get higher at this time of year but at one point Ryanair was offering returns from Prestwick to Tenerife for the Christmas and New Year week for £65 and returns to Fuerteventura for a fortnight for £25 during the two weeks up to the holidays.
