Ball’s in my court, Anton!
I’ve been in London this week, recording Have I Got News For You – which was a lot of fun – and preparing for tonight’s exhibition match with my old Strictly partner Anton du Beke at the Royal Albert Hall.
We’re playing in a team along with a top junior girl, against my son Jamie, presenter Helen Skelton and a top junior boy.
We’ve been training them, focusing on tips to improve their game, which we’ve also shared online.
Tonight is the culmination of our efforts, and it’s payback time with Anton after Strictly.
I get to see him performing in front of an audience in a totally unfamiliar situation.
There’ll be a lot of laughs and I expect him to use his wicked wit to try and distract the opposition.
As you’d expect, his footwork is pretty nifty and he reckons he will waltz his way to victory. We’ll see.
