Killie could yet be our Leicester

Huge congratulations to my old club Kilmarnock on going top of the Premiership with their win over Livingston in midweek. Back at the start of the season, there was speculation that Hearts could be our Leicester City this year.

I never thought that was a fair comparison. One of our very biggest clubs, they are more a Liverpool or an Everton.

Killie, though, would fit the bill. Operating on a budget that is tiny compared to their rivals, they are performing miracles under the inspired leadership of Steve Clarke this season, and completely deserve all the praise.

And, while I can’t say I believe they will win the title this season, it was exactly the same story when we were talking about Leicester’s chances this time three years ago.
