Firefighters have tackled a “significant” blaze at a farm building. Emergency crews were alerted to a fire at Little Burns, Glenkindie, near Alford, Aberdeenshire at 1.27pm yesterday.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said crews had tackled “a farm building on fire”. Four appliances from Alford, Aboyne, Huntly and Ballater attended.

Nobody was injured in the fire.

The building contained machinery but no animals.
