Reunited after 69 years

-

In 1949, when she was 18, Genevieve Purinton gave birth to her only child.

Sadly, doctors told her the child had died. Now 88, Genevieve lives in a care home in Tampa, Florida, and with her eight siblings all dead, she didn’t think she had any family left. Then she received a card from a lady named Connie Moultroup, who said she thought she was Genevieve’s daughter.

It’s not known why doctors told Genevieve her baby had died, but the two have finally been reunited after an ancestry DNA kit bought by Connie’s daughter revealed the truth.

Overjoyed Genevieve has not only discovered her daughter is alive, but also has a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
