In a North card much affected by the wild weather conditions, BANKS O’ DEE climbed to the top of the Super League with a 4-1 win at bottom club STONEHAVEN. Stonehaven did go in front early on, but Kane Winton levelled just before the break for Dee. A second-half double from substitute Lachie Mcleod and a Michael Philipson effort sealed the win for the visitors. MONTROSE ROSELEA slip to second place after a goalless draw at home to COLONY PARK, a result that moves the Inverurie side up to 12th, a point above Stonehaven and above Maud on goal difference. BRIDGE OF DON THISTLE won 2-0 at ELLON UNITED to stay third and move within a point of Montrose Roselea.

CULTER are two points further back in fourth after a 0-0 draw at home to DYCE. HERMES join HALL RUSSELL on 16 points in 10th place after beating their rivals 2-1 at Lochside Park.

In the First Division, FRASERBURGH UNITED closed the gap at the top with a stunning five-goal thumping of SUNNYBANK at College Park. Jordan Guild grabbed a double, with Jamie Ramsey, Matty Gordon and Billy Bruce also on target. BURGHEAD THISTLE were beaten 2-1 at home by LONGSIDE, who join the Jags on 17 points. Ryan Macbean scored for the home side. BUCKIE ROVERS crashed to a 5-0 defeat at BANCHORY SAINT TERNAN, who move above Sunnybank on goal difference into second place.

Only one game survived in the Second Division, but SPEY VALLEY will be wishing it hadn’t after they lost 5-0 at NEWMACHAR UNITED, leaving them four points behind fourth from bottom Whitehills. CARNOUSTIE started their East Super League match against Kennoway, but the match referee decided after 30 minutes the game was proving farcical in the high winds and abandoned it.
