What’s the best way to pass a kidney stone?

Kidney stones can be extremely painful and cause severe nausea. It is worth seeing a doctor who can give prescribed medication for the pain and nausea. I’d recommend drinking a lot of fluids. Sometimes if symptoms are severe you may need to be admitted to hospital. What causes lupus?

This disease occurs when your body’s immune system attacks its own tissues and organs, for example the skin, kidneys, joints or lungs. The disease is not fully understood but current research show that your genes play a role and often the condition is triggered by factors which includes stress, infections, sunlight or industrial exposure to chemicals. Is the Atkins diet dangerous?

There have been some concerns raised by experts regarding this low-carb, high-protein diet. You get a lot of high cholesterol from eating fatty cuts of meat and whole dairy products and other high-fat foods. Eating too much protein could put an added strain on your kidneys and also when you are on a high protein diet there is a risk that you urinate more calcium than normal, which could lead to osteoporosis or kidney stones. It’s unclear whether the Atkins diet is sustainable for a long period so I would recommend healthy, balanced eating and exercise to sustain weight loss.

I’ve begun to develop a slight yellowing in my eyes. Could this be a sign of an underlying health problem?

A slight yellowing in your eyes could be due to jaundice which could indicate a problem with your liver. See your doctor about this.
