Worry over wages

-

A quarter of workers admit that they will continue to feel a burden of Christmas spending on their finances until March, according to a survey by Aegon.

The research, in partnership with the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), found that workers worry more about money than other key issues, such as family problems and health concerns.

Kate Smith, head of pensions at Aegon, says: “It’s staggering to see that many workers will continue to feel the burden on their purse strings well into the new year.

“Financial concerns result in days being taken off and money worries consuming hours at work every week.”
