Timid ten-year-old Lewis Barnavelt travels to the sleepy ’50s community of Zebedee to live with his uncle Jonathan (Jack Black) who lives in a creepy house full of ticking clocks.

Lewis learns the building used to belong to a deranged couple, who concealed a Doomsday clock within the walls. A warlock and a kindly witch, hope to locate the demonic timepiece before the end of days.
