BAYERN fell 3-1 at LEVERKUSEN, despite going ahead just before the break through Leon Goretzka. The home side upped the ante in the second period and were 2-1 up by the 63rd minute through Leon Bailey and Kevin Volland. Lucas Alario hit the clincher late on. BORUSSIA MUNCHENGLADBACH are on the same points as Bayern after late goals from Christoph Kramer and Florian Neuhaus gave them a 2-0 win at SCHALKE 04.

n In La Liga, BARCELONA were held to a 2-2 draw at home against VALENCIA.

The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead by the 32nd minute with a Kevin Gameiro strike and a Daniel Parejo penalty.

Lionel Messi pulled one back, also from the spot, seven minutes later, and the Argentinian superstar levelled things up in the 64th minute.

Barca are six points ahead of second-top Atletico Madrid, who visit Real Betis today, while Real Madrid, who host Alaves, are a further five points adrift. n A time-added goal by PARMA’S Gerinho gave them a 3-3 draw at JUVENTUS. Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice for Juve, with Daniele Rugani also on the scoresheet. Antonio Barillon and Gerinho again made up Parma’s tally.
