Tattoo may be clue to new role for Karen

-

Karen Gillan has teased fans with hints of a potential new role after sharing a pic of a tattoo on her arm.

Posing with her left arm in the air, the design featured what looked like a red rose and a winding green stem.

Gillan, 31, accompanied the photo on her official Instagram page with a message that read: “New ink. JK. New character.” Several fans commented on the pic, assuming the tattoo was real.

However, some insisted the letters “JK” in her tweet stood for “just kidding”, suggesting Gillan’s inking was only temporary.

It’s not clear if the body art is in any way linked to the former Dr Who star’s role in new movie Call Of The Wild.

The film, which is due for release in December, is an adaptation of Jack London’s famous 1903 novel set during the Klondike Gold Rush.

Production is said to be under way in Los Angeles with Gillan reported to be playing the role of Mercedes alongside co-stars Harrison Ford and Dan Stevens.

The plot follows prospector John Thornton (Ford) as he treks across the Canadian Yukon during the gold rush.

Representatives for Gillan did not confirm if the tattoo was real or not or if it is connected to a new role.

As such, the cryptic tweet remains a mystery.
