St e ve n G e r r a rd b e l i e ve s Ran g e r s a re re a p i n g the benefits of Ryan Kent finding a second home.

The Rangers boss hopes his man continues his recent fine form while another Ryan has less success this week.

Kent scored one and set up two other goals during the 4- 0 Europa League victory over Willem II in midweek.

The £ 7- million man seems to finally be producing the consistency of performance that was lacking last season.

His boss reckons the 23- yearold’s home life is helping him focus on football.

Gerrard said: “The thing with Ryan is that he moved around a lot.

“He obviously came through the system at Liverpool, did really well to get in and around the first team, and then he went on numerous loans where he was going here, there and everywhere.

“Sometimes you just need some security. You need to settle and find a place that suits you, and suits your game.

“I think he has settled into life in Glasgow. He has a girlfriend from the city and he feels like Rangers is his first home since Liverpool.

“I think we are benefiting from the fact he is settled off the pitch too.

“He is in fantastic form at the moment. He is great to watch and great to work with.

“He is executing things when he gets into the right areas, and long may that continue.

“I know that he wants more numbers in his game. That’s part

of his development that us, as a staff, are focusing really hard on to help.

“I don’t think confidence has ever been an issue. Ryan backs himself. You’ve always got to back yourself when you have those tools in your armoury.”
