A late goal saw Annan through against Lowland League side Gala Fairydean.

In the 18th minute, Annan went ahead when Aiden Smith fired home.

Within two minutes of the second half, the Fairies were level when Gareth Rodger headed home a corner. Then, with four minutes left, Annan won when Jordan Lowdon’s curling shot was deflected into the net.

United went ahead in the 47th minute after a goal-less first half when Stuart Smith fired home.

Then Stewart O’neill pulled Athletic back into the game when he struck the equaliser in the 86th minute, only to see Scott Lisle pop up and hit the equaliser in the last minute.

The visitors started brightly and Dylan Maclean produced good stops to deny Cameron Ross and Greg Binnie.

Just before the break, Connor Wallace got down well to gather Gordon Mcnab’s shot.

In the second half, the nearest to a goal came late on when County’s Tom Maclennan rattled the bar with a 22-yard free-kick.

Extra time brought no goals and, in the penalty shoot-out, Calum Howarth got the decisive winner for the home side after Mcnab’s effort was saved. David Greenhill and Binnie failed to convert for the visitors.

Kelty’s Ryan Stanley scored in the 30th minute when he fired the ball low into the net. Dylan Easton doubled the score in 56th minute when he smashed the ball into the net from 15 yards.

On 71 minutes, Swifts set up an exciting finish when Chris Mcleish fired home a rebound, but Kelty held out.

BERWICK 0 STIRLING ALBION 3

Stirling went ahead on 17 minutes when Andy Ryan’s through ball was met by Kurtis Roberts, who fired home from the edge to the box.

Four minutes later, Declan Byrne slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0. Dom Docherty almost got No. 3 just on the interva, but headed narrowly over.

It was all over in the 51st minute when Ryan finally got on the scoresheet with a 25-yarder.
