Thomas installs kitchens. I’d heard he was particular about getting things just right.
He used to be his dad’s apprentice and they would go to houses where the people might have saved a long time for their (usually her) dream kitchen.
Dad would refer to the joy and excitement on the faces of his customers and tell his son: “We don’t want to do anything that would spoil that happiness, do we?”
Dad died relatively young. Thomas inherited the business and kept his father’s caring work-ethic. “Well, I wouldn’t want anyone cutting corners in my home, so why would I do that to anyone else? Dad’s words are just the reminder I need.” “And, besides,” his “apprentice” came over. “I’m his mum, and I wouldn’t let him cut corners.” Thomas couldn’t escape the good influence of his parents if he tried. And, bless him, he never tries!
