JK book sells for £50k
A rare copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone once discarded by a library has fetched nearly £50,000 at auction in Edinburgh.
The hardback by JK Rowling was one of just 300 first edition, first impression copies distributed to libraries following its publication in June 1997.
