Pathological idiot

I read the letter (Your View, February 21) remembering when people used to clear the paths and pavements of snow for their neighbours.

Well, we used to do it but two years ago my husband was clearing the path when he heard a shout. He turned around and suddenly a man he had never seen before hit him across the face, leaving a mark which he still has. The man was shouting that someone will slip. Mavis Hall, Newcastle
