DNA Family Secrets
BBC2, Tuesday, 9pm
In the past decade, more than 26 million people have taken a DNA test and the growing popularity in overthe-counter kits has created a network of databases that can tell people more than ever before about their families. Stacey Dooley is inviting people to visit a one-stopshop DNA testing clinic. She meets up with 75-year-old Bill, born at the end of the Second World War. His father was an African-american GI – all his son really knows about him is his name. Now, Bill is hoping his own DNA might be the key to finding out what happened to his father.
