Scots could see a white Easter
It’s the weather forecast which would have been welcome had it been made 100 days before – on Christmas Day.
But predictions for a White Easter will send a chill through most Scots who have been seduced by recent balmy weather.
Parts of eastern Scotland nudged 16C yesterday but temperatures will begin to plunge from today and by tomorrow night the mercury will have fallen to -5C.
The Met Office’s Craig Snell said: “Most of Scotland will see snow on Sunday night and into Monday.”
The snow warning begins at 6pm tonight for the northern half of Scotland above Perth with up to 5cm at low levels.
