Andy’s new career is in the bag
Speaking to a journalist last week, Andy admitted he fancies trying out as a golf caddie after he retires from tennis – and I could see the job agreeing with him! He’s also pals with Rory Mcilroy, so I reckon a turn on Rory’s bag at a pro–am somewhere down the line could be on the cards.
Andy’s thoughts on his future also got me thinking about my own career, and whether I would have chosen a different path given the opportunity. I also would have enjoyed being a chatshow host as I love speaking to people and got a taste of that recently when I interviewed 10 top sportswomen for the Driving Force series. So, watch out Oprah...
From fest to worst
After the world-famous event was cancelled for the second summer running, it’s been confirmed Glastonbury festival will go ahead in the form of a livestream later this year. I’m sure it’s a welcome surprise for many music lovers but, personally, I’ve had more than enough Zoom calls to last a lifetime, and no virtual event can replicate the buzz of the real thing. So, I’ll pass on the warm cider and wellies, thank you.
