Mum of 12 killed by husband

-

“Eleven Children Held At Gunpoint,” read the alarming headline. “Eleven French children were being held at gunpoint by their father in their disused railway station home,” it continued.

“Twelve railway children, aged 14 to a three-month-old baby, moved into the station at Bar Le Due, France with their parents a few weeks ago.

“Then on Friday the father shot his 33-year-old wife dead and threatened to kill the children if the police tried to enter the house.”

The gunman’s sister and brother-in-law persuaded him to let them take away the baby to safety, according to the Post’s report. But he insisted on holding the other 11 children. The family of 14, plus paternal grandmother, had been living in two rooms until a social worker arranged for them to move into the disused station.
