Classic mistake
Further to your story about favourite albums, when I was younger I used to think all the so-called classic albums by the likes of Joni Mitchell, John Martyn and Van Morrison were nothing but easy-listening for Radio 2 types, people that didn’t really like music. That’s how much I knew.
Three decades on, I don’t seem to listen to much else. My teenage self, with her spikey hair and Doc Martens, would be disgusted but I don’t really care. Alison White, Coatbridge
