New Celtic boss to decide on who’s to be his captain
Ange Postecoglou has pledged to give Callum Mcgregor the chance to convince him he should become the next Celtic captain.
The new Hoops boss has made his intentions to shake things up at the club clear as he gets stuck into the challenge of preparing to try to haul back Premiership champions, Rangers.
And with Scott Brown having departed for Aberdeen, there is an immediate issue in terms of who will be on his on-pitch leader.
While Postecoglou has not decided yet who that will be, he says his instinct is that it will be someone already at the club.
Mcgregor, who filled in for Brown as skipper on numerous occasions and scored his first Scotland goal against Croatia last Tuesday, has already stated that he wants the armband.
