Garden of the week
Logan Botanic Garden on the Mull of Galloway is the perfect place to explore if you are yearning for somewhere exotic.
It is packed with palm trees and other sub-tropical plants that thrive in the mild climate of south-west Scotland. You’ll find all kinds of dramatic flowers as well as a forest of giant gunnera that children can’t resist exploring. The gardens also feature a spectacular array of half-hardy perennials.
The elegant Victorian-style Logan Conservatory houses a range of particularly tender exotic plants from South Africa.
