A remarkable fightback by BROXBURN saw the Albyn Park side come from three down to NEWTONGRAN­GE to level, then score an injury-time winner. The visitors were three up after 20 minutes through Ryan Ferguson, Liam Peden and Liall Smith. Ross Nimmo pulled one back in 31 minutes and Craig Purves added a second before half-time. It was all square in 60 minutes when Dave Greenhill levelled and the fightback was complete when Ross Allum netted an injury-time winner.

A dramatic finish ensued at WHITEHILL WELFARE, where visitors BLACKBURN UNITED came from two down the grab three late goals to pinch a 3-2 win. A Wayne Mcintosh double put the hosts in control, but they had Steve Anderson red-carded and Lawrie pulled one back in 88 minutes. They then added another two in injury-time to win.

CROSSGATES were given a lesson in finishing by TRANENT, who ran out 4-1 winners. Ben Miller gave Tranent the lead in 24 minutes, but the hosts hit back with a James Mcateer equaliser in 28 minutes. The visitors’ Matty Knox hit a double in 35 an 66 minutes, plus another from Jamie Docherty, to give Tranent a comfortabl­e win.

A late Ryan Baptie goal gave PENICUIK a victory by the odd goal in five against TYNECASTLE FC. Aiden Walsh gave Penicuik the lead in 20 minutes, but Blake Wales levelled only for Baptie to restore the lead in 52 minutes. Kenny Fisher again levelled for the visitors, but Penicuik had the last say with Baptie’s winner four minutes from time.

JEANFIELD SWIFTS beat DUNBAR UNITED 1-0 thanks to a Connor Mclaren goal on the hour.

It ended all square at SAUCHIE after the home side’s goalless draw with LINLITHGOW.

HILL OF BEATH’S miserable start to the season continued when they lost 4-2 to DUNIPACE in the Challenge Cup. Jack Denham gave Dunipace the lead in eight minutes, but the Haws drew level through a Lee Reid penalty in 14 minutes. Andy Grant restored Dunipace’s lead in 54 minutes, but the Fifers again hit back through Ryan Connelly three minutes later. However, Conor Langton gave the visitors the lead for a third time in 61 minutes and there was no way back when Dave Grant made in 4-2 in 86 minutes.

In Conference B, KINNOULL were 4-2 winners over LOCHORE, with Rhys Davies and Ben Ragan both netting doubles for the Perth side.
