Work starts on cruise port

Work is finally under way on a new £19.2 million cruise terminal and visitor centre at Greenock.

People and businesses anticipate that the regular arrival of cruise ships from next summer will help the area’s economy to recover from the pandemic.

The development was delayed by the construction company falling into liquidation. The pandemic halted works further.
