My sweet dreams finally come true

-

Readers will know I’m always sceptical of surveys and research that seem too good to be true – but I’ve finally found some scientific advice I’m willing to try. According to a study conducted by scientists at Liverpool Hope University, a bioactive compound found in cocoa powder and dark chocolate could help middle-aged adults enjoy more exercise. Flavanols aid faster oxygen uptake in adults aged 40-60 engaging in less than two hours of exercise per week, improving tolerance and enhancing the likelihood of continuing a workout programme. Finally, an excuse to eat more chocolate fingers!
