Outlander gardens are in full bloom

-

One of Scotland’s most spectacular gardens, which featured in the TV series Outlander, is in stunning full bloom as visitors continue to enjoy outdoor spaces.

Drummond Castle Gardens, near Crieff, in Perthshire, dates back to 1630, and is considered “the best example of formal terraced gardens in Scotland”.

The location has been a magnet for visitors from around the world since it was transformed into the stunning backdrop for the Palace of Versailles in the time travel drama Outlander, in which it starred alongside leading actors Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.

The A-listed gardens, which also appeared in the 1995 movie Rob Roy, are among the most important and impressive formal gardens in Europe.
