Dam dangerous

I read the article about someone keen to have lots of beavers released in the UK. Left to themselves protected and without natural predators, they will cause immense damage.

A few dozen beavers were brought to Argentina in the 1940s to start fur farming, unsuccessfully. They were left to themselves and there are now thought to be 100,000-plus and tree destruction and flooding have changed the area. Rewilding should be approached with caution.
