Jinky egg for £10k
A rare Faberge egg made in honour of Celtic legend Jimmy “Jinky” Johnstone, could fetch £10,000 in an auction at Mctear’s in Glasgow this week.
The “Jinky” egg was one of only 19 created in 2005 by Sarah Faberge, great-granddaughter of the Russian Imperial jeweller Carl Faberge.
The 17.5cm object is made from silver, enamel, yellow and black gold, it opens to reveal a silver and gold figure of the footballer dribbling with a diamondstudded ball at his feet.
