Road of greatness
I was interested in Scott Paterson’s article about Raasay, Isle of Skye but I was surprised the road that made history wasn’t mentioned.
A crofter, Calum Macleod, spent years building a road with the aid of a pick, shovel and wheelbarrow. To this day it is known as Calum’s Road and friends of mine cycled it recently.
