Kings reach the semis in style

Kingussie reached the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup semi-finals following a crushing 11-0 win over Kilmallie yesterday.

James Falconer scored four with Roddy Young’s hat-trick, Dylan Borthwick’s brace and efforts from Savio Genini and Iain Fraser completing the rout.

Oban Camanachd’s quarter-final against Lovat was postponed due to a covid outbreak in Oban.

In the Alvance British Aluminium Balliemore Cup quarter-finals, Aberdour held out for an hour before going down 5-0 to Skye.

Jamie Gillies grabbed a hat-trick with Taylor Matheson and William Mackinnon also netting.

Jack Macdonald bagged a double hat-trick as Beauly thrashed Inverness 10-0. David Maclean’s treble and Conor Ross completed the scoring.

Fraser Watt’s treble helped Inveraray beat Ballachuli­sh 8-0. Ruaraidh Graham scored twice with Allan Macdonald, Campbell Watt and Craig Taylor also on target.

Scott Harvey’s extra-time goal gave Bute a 2-1 victory over Strathglas­s. Leon Macmillan put the Islanders ahead before Penri Jones levelled.

Glenurquha­rt and Fort William drew 2-2 in Mowi League A. Connor Golabek and Jed Stoddart scored for the Glen with Lewis Morrison and Alexander Macmillan countering.

Lochaber couldn’t field a team for their visit to Kinlochshi­el, with Kyles Athletic unable to fulfil their Mowi League C match at Glasgow Mid Argyll.
