PENICUIK are still on maximum points after a 2-1 away victory at SAUCHIE. Paul Tansey gave Cuikie the lead from a penalty in 24 minutes and he added a second from the spot in 59 minutes. Sauchie pulled one back through Connor Gray in 10 minutes later, but the joint league leaders held out for the points.

TRANENT remain on top through goal difference after a hard fought 1-0 win at JEANFIELD, with a Euan Bauld header proving the difference.

HILL OF BEATH picked up their first three points of the season with a 2-0 win over DUNDONALD in the Fife derby. After a goalless first half, Ryan Connelly gave the Haws the lead a minute after the restart, then Connelly struck again and made sure with a second.

Honours were shared at DUNBAR, where the hosts drew 2-2 with MUSSELBURG­H. Fraser Mclaren gave Dunbar the lead in five minutes, but the visitors hit back through Darren Downie soon after. On 14 minutes, a Josh Jeffries penalty gave Musselburg­h the lead. But Johnny Edmond salvaged a point for Dunbar with the equaliser in 82 minutes.

BROXBURN always had the edge against BLACKBURN UNITED and fully deserved their 4-2 win. It was the home side who took the lead in 13 minutes through Martin Lawrie, but Broxburn hit back through Ross Allum in 26 minutes. Dave Greenhill made it 2-1 for the visitors before half-time and Cammy Ross added a third before Lawrie struck again for the hosts. But Broxburn had the last say when Ross fired in a fourth with seven minutes to go.

CROSSGATES have Brian Ritchie to thank after he scored both goals in their 2-1 win over TYNECASTLE FC.

LINLITHGOW ROSE were pulled back by LOTHIAN THISTLE HV after goals from Jack Ogilvie and Alan Docherty appeared to give Rose control, but the home side hit back with two goals to earn a share of the points.

Wayne Mcintosh was the big difference between WHITEHILL WELFARE and visitors NEWTONGRAN­GE. The striker scored all three in their 3-1 win, with Brad Rixon netting a consolatio­n for the visitors.
