She’s a soul contender

A few years ago I had the pleasure of interviewing the First Lady of soul, Aretha Franklin, now there’s a biopic, Respect. It stars Jennifer Hudson who said:“The very first thing Aretha said to me was, ‘you’re going to win an Oscar playing me, right?’”. I think she’s right!
