Garden of the week

-

A new physic garden at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh is now open to the public. It sits adjacent to Queen Mary’s Bath House, which dates back to the 16th Century.

Set within deep raised beds lined with willow hurdles are medicinal and culinary herbs that would once have played an important role in healing and cooking and which are still useful and beautiful today. Part of the garden is home to a flowering meadow and there are nooks and benches for relaxing.
